How is treatment different for children?
Pediatric chiropractic uses a fraction of the pressure used on adults — for younger children, often no more than the pressure you'd use to check if an avocado is ripe. The focus is on gentle mobilisation rather than the higher-force adjustments used with adults.
Why parents bring kids in
- Postural changes from backpacks, screens and growth spurts
- Tightness or discomfort after sport or falls
- General check-ups to support healthy movement as they grow
What a visit looks like
Dr Theo spends time getting to know your child first — explaining everything in an age-appropriate way so they feel comfortable, not anxious. Parents are welcome in the room throughout, and treatment is paced to the child's comfort, not a fixed routine.
When to bring your child in
If your child complains of recurring discomfort, has noticeably uneven posture, or you simply want a professional opinion after a fall or sporting knock, a short assessment can offer peace of mind either way.
